Amira Mrad

Amira is now the Director of Programs for SMEs. She encompassed more than 14 years of experience in the Lebanese public and private sectors, cumulating know-how in budgeting, project management, investor relations, and entrepreneurship support, among others.


Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit, Amira initiated the Business Support Unit (BSU) at IDAL as a national initiative to nurture and empower Lebanese Entrepreneurs. Over a two-year period, under her supervision, the unit supported more than 400 startups.


Amira is also an expert in the investment promotion industry, with a series of schemes and initiatives to support the business environment in Lebanon, namely the development and implementation of the Business Matchmaking Platform which enables local investors to partner with foreign peers.


As a solid advocate of entrepreneurship, she believes that supporting innovation will surely have its impact on the growth and success of startups.
