Anghami

Eddy Maroun

Eddy is the co-founder and CEO of Anghami – the leading music streaming platform in the Middle East.

In 2012, seizing the opportunity of a lack of a proper and legitimate digital music service, Eddy and his partner Elie Habib launched Anghami (meaning My Tunes in Arabic).
Since then, Anghami has reached over 70 million users, streams close to one billion licensed Arabic & English tracks a year, is integrated with more than 46 mobile operators with a team of 180 in 5 countries.

To fuel its growth, Anghami successfully raised funds from VCs, private equity firms, telcos and partnered with MBC, the largest media group in the Middle East. In 2021, Anghami launched Vibe Music Arabia, a joint-venture record label with Sony Music.

In 2022, Anghami went public in the US to become the world’s first Arab tech company to list on Nasdaq stock exchange.
